Yes, and we know that's a lot to ask. Mid-week was the only way to have Whispertree entirely to ourselves. We hope you can take the time off. If you really must, there will be some unscheduled morning time for checking email.

Yes, please. We want to create and hold a container, and that only works if we're all together from start to finish.

Rather than a fixed schedule, the workshops are made and put on by you. Guests are invited to share talks, activities, and workshops on the topic of love. There will also be some pre-scheduled whole group afternoon activities.

Only if they're named on your invitation. Everyone sleeps on site and Whispertree has a fixed number of beds, so we can't accommodate plus-ones. It's arithmetic rather than anything personal. If your situation has changed since we wrote to you, tell us and we'll see what's possible.

Accommodation and all meals for the three nights, on a sliding scale of roughly $200 to $600 total. You pick your own number in that range privately, and no explanation is needed.

On top of that, you're covering your own travel. If cost is the thing keeping you from saying yes, write to us before you decline.

We do not have a registry. Your presence and time are the greatest gift.

Anderson Valley in mid-June is hot and dry in the afternoon, often into the eighties, and then drops into the forties overnight.

Every meal has gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options as standard. For anything beyond that, tell us in the RSVP and we'll get it to the kitchen well ahead of time.

Phone service in the valley is patchy at best and the wifi reaches the main buildings only.

Turn on Wi-Fi Calling on your phone before you arrive; Whispertree say it is much the best way to get a call out. There are landlines in the main buildings if you need them.

Sadly not. Whispertree asks that pets stay at home.

Six miles of trails through meadows, oak and fir. The Valley Trail from the Barn to the top of the Knoll takes about ten minutes; there are also one-mile, 2.5-mile and 3-mile loops. Wear closed-toe shoes, as there's poison oak in the woods off the trails, and take someone with you rather than walking alone at dawn or dusk. It is genuinely wild country out there.

A few small things: quiet hours after 10pm, no housekeeping during the stay, shoes off before going into the tents, and please keep food in the kitchens rather than in your room. There's a cedar hot tub that fits eight.
